Softball Recap: W.S. Neal Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but W.S. Neal ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Red Level Tigers by a score of 16-13. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Tigers back in February, they had to take a 16-6 loss.

Ava Stuckey was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashya Montgomery, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Stuckey wasn't the only one working in the hit department: W.S. Neal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

With the win, W.S. Neal broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Red Level, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Looking ahead, W.S. Neal will take on Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Level, they will challenge Brantley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
