Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cody). They put the hurt on the Northwestern Colts with a sharp 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by nine runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Lamarty Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That hit marked the first that he got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezavior Simpson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Cody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .611 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Cody now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northwestern, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Cody will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Colts: the pair will be back at it again later today.
