Volleyball Recap: Reed Finds Home Court Redemption Against North Valleys

There's no place like home for Reed, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Valleys Panthers on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Reed was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Cathleen 'Kat' Molino, who had ten digs and four aces. Molino is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Devyn Christian also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Reed was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive matchups.

Reed's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for North Valleys, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Coincidentally, Reed and North Valleys will both be playing Reno the next time they take the court. The Raiders will head out to face the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
