Friday just wasn't the day for University/Classical Magnet's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Bolton Bulldogs on Friday. University/Classical Magnet has struggled against Bolton recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
For Bolton's part, they let Joey Godek and Andrew Goodness loose on the outfield. Godek scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Goodness scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Roth, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
University/Classical Magnet now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Bolton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University/Classical Magnet is on the road again on Wednesday to play Academy of Science and Innovation at 3:45 p.m. As for Bolton, they will challenge Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
