Recap: Everglades Gators vs. Flanagan Falcons
The Everglades Gators were the 57-22 winner over the Flanagan Falcons when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Everglades was beaten by Flanagan 76-14 on Thursday. Everglades was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.
D?Naela Myers was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 19 rebounds for Flanagan. The match was Myers' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Palmer, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Everglades are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.7 points per game. As for Flanagan, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everglades is on the road again on Monday and play against West Broward at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. West Broward is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Flanagan, they will head out on the road to face off against Pembroke Pines Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
