St. Michael waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They breezed past the Savio Eagles to the tune of 69-21. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Eagles are ranked 948th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Michael's pushed their record up to 27-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points over those games. As for Savio, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Coming up, St. Michael's will venture away from home to take on Second Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Second Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully St. Michael's likes a good challenge.
