Softball Game Preview: Chatham Central Bears vs. Jordan-Matthews Jets

The Chatham Central Bears will take on the Jordan-Matthews Jets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Central will be strutting in after a win while Jordan-Matthews will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Chatham Central got the win against Bartlett Yancey by a conclusive 20-2. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to Southeast Alamance.

Chatham Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Jordan-Matthews, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Chatham Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Jordan-Matthews when the teams last played back in March, winning 7-3. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
