Recap: Parker Braves vs. Fernandina Beach Pirates
The Parker Braves were the 42-33 winner over the Fernandina Beach Pirates when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Parker had to suffer through a rough 56-20 loss at the hands of Fernandina Beach. Parker was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-7.
Fernandina Beach's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savina Wells, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Naslynn Morris, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals.
Parker's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fernandina Beach, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parker will square off against Raines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fernandina Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against Fletcher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
