Softball Recap: Puckett Gets the Win

After losing to Newton County the last time they met, Puckett decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Puckett Wolves came out on top against the Newton County Cougars by a score of 9-5 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Avery Mohr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Pardue, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Puckett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Puckett now has a winning record of 2-1-1.

Looking ahead, Puckett will square off against West Lincoln at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. Newton County has already played their next match (against Enterprise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
