Basketball Game Preview: Tekonsha Indians vs. Burr Oak Bobcats

Tekonsha is 1-9 against Burr Oak since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tekonsha Indians will host the Burr Oak Bobcats at 6:30 p.m.

Tekonsha is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 63-33 loss at the hands of Jackson Christian. The Indians were down 48-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Emily Rizo, who posted six points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Henry, who had seven points in addition to six boards and five blocks.

Meanwhile, Burr Oak hadn't done well against Colon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Burr Oak slipped by Colon 35-34.

Tekonsha's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Burr Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Tekonsha took a serious blow against Burr Oak when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 52-19. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tekonsha was down 28-4.
