Shannon has gone a perfect 6-0 against Mooreville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Troopers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Shannon is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Itawamba Agricultural just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 23-18 to the Indians.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-22, which was the final score in Mooreville's tilt against Houston on Friday.

Shannon's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Mooreville, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Shannon took their victory against Mooreville in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 by a conclusive 44-21 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Troopers' Jordan Franks, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one score.
