Softball Recap: Langley Comes Up Short

If Langley was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of George C. Marshall on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saxons fell just short of the Corning-Painted Post Hawks by a score of 8-7 on Monday.

Caitlin Hohenthaner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Juliet Sayers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Langley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Corning-Painted Post, the win was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Langley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against University on the 15th. As for Corning-Painted Post, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against James Madison on the 15th.
