Baseball Recap: Timothy Christian Takes a Loss

Timothy Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-3 to the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Timothy Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peter Buikema, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double was Buikema's first of the season.

Timothy Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Bishop McNamara, their record now sits at 12-6.

While Timothy Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
