Volleyball Recap: Carolina Academy Comes Up Short

Carolina Academy lost against Southside Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans came up short against the Sabres, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-5, 25-4.

Southside Christian found their leader in sophomore Lila Englehart, who had 11 aces and six digs. Those 11 aces set a new season-high mark for Englehart. Corrine Proctor was another key player, getting 12 assists and three aces.

Carolina Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Southside Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-12-1 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Academy will welcome Berea at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southside Christian, they will be playing at home against Greenville Tech Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
