Baseball Game Preview: Ashland Oredockers vs. Cameron Comets

For the second straight game, Ashland will face off against Cameron. The Oredockers will venture away from home to square off against the Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ashland is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Cameron hit Ashland with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Oredockers fell 10-7 to the Comets.

For Cameron's part, the team relied heavily on Brady Gronski, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Gronski has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jonas Martinson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win made it two in a row for Cameron and bumps their season record up to 4-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
