Basketball Recap: Genesis Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Genesis Prep Academy lost against Lakeside last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars fell 79-67 to the Lakeside Knights.

Tyson Charley was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds for Lakeside. Charley's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Hallah Peone was another key player, going 6-for-7 en route to 15 points and six assists.

Genesis Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Lakeside, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Genesis Prep Academy nor Lakeside have any future games scheduled.
