Basketball Recap: Millburn Takes a Loss

If Millburn was riding high fresh off their 66-27 takedown of College Achieve Paterson last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Millburn Millers took a hard 67-48 fall against the Livingston Lancers on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Millers of the 42-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Millburn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chace Redler posted 15 points. The game was Redler's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Plotkin, who earned 12 points.

Millburn now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Livingston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Millburn and Watchung Hills Regional will round out the year against one another at at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Livingston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
