Softball Recap: Randall Takes a Loss

After flying high against Borger last Friday, Randall came back down to earth. The Randall Raiders took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dumas Demons on Thursday. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Randall's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-6. As for Dumas, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Randall and Dumas should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Randall (ranked 72nd) will meet Canyon (ranked 219th) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Randall 3.6, Dumas 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Similarly, Dumas will take on Borger at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday up 677 places (175 vs. 852).
