Volleyball Game Preview: Peru Tigers vs. West Lafayette Red Devils

The Peru Tigers will face off against the West Lafayette Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Peru is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Wabash just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Apaches. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since September 16th.

While Peru was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, West Lafayette earned a 3-1 victory over Pioneer on Thursday. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 26-24, 25-9.

Peru's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for West Lafayette, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.

Peru suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to West Lafayette when the teams last played back in October of 2017. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
