Baseball Game Preview: UIC College Prep Firecats vs. Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers

The UIC College Prep Firecats will head out on the road to challenge the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, UIC College Prep put up the most runs they have all season on Saturday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over Rauner.

The team relied heavily on Tristan Pierre, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Jones, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Noble Street College Prep entered their tilt with Golder on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Panthers 21-10. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Golden Tigers this season.

The victory got Noble Street College Prep back to even at 5-5. As for UIC College Prep, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

UIC College Prep couldn't quite finish off Noble Street College Prep in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Firecats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
