Preview: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Bedford Bearcats
Maple Heights and Bedford are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Maple Heights Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Bedford Bearcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Maple Heights struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (Warrensville Heights had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Maple Heights was dealt a 61-17 defeat at the hands of Warrensville Heights. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Maple Heights has scored all season.
D'chante Greene was Maple Heights' leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Jovannah Nichols held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bedford suffered a tough 61-38 defeat at the hands of South on Wednesday. Bedford has struggled against South recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Maple Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bedford, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Maple Heights strolled past Bedford in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 46-32. Does Maple Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bedford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
