After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Londonderry, Merrimack was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Manchester Central Little Green get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The Tomahawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Zach Retey was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season. Ryan Mainey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Merrimack's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Manchester Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrimack will welcome Timberlane at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Manchester Central, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Spaulding at 4:00 p.m.
