Softball Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners

Las Vegas hasn't had much luck against Southeast Career Tech recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roadrunners at 3:30 p.m. Las Vegas has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Las Vegas fell victim to Foothill and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to the Falcons. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, Southeast Career Tech entered their tilt with Chaparral on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cowboys a 20-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won ten games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Neveah Fuller made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fuller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Aysia Suyat was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Laila Esparza was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.

Las Vegas now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Southeast Career Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
