Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Gridley's Winning Streak

After flying high against Windward on Monday, Gridley came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 8-3 to the Kearny Komets on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Komets earlier this season, when they won 13-4.

Gridley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Francis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Gridley moved to 8-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Kearny, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Washington on the 2nd. As for Kearny, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Windward on the 2nd.
