Having struggled with seven defeats in a row dating back to last season, Conneaut Area finally turned things around against General McLane on Monday. Meanwhile, McDowell can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Erie 17-4. With that win, McDowell brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Gabby DeLuca was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. DeLuca has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
