Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Norwich Free Academy

Norwich Free Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They blew past the Fitch Falcons 3-0. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

While Norwich Free Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 29-27.

Leading Norwich Free Academy to victory were Sophie Miner and Lila Dwyer. Miner had 15 digs and two assists, while Dwyer had nine digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Dwyer a new career-high.

Norwich Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Fitch, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Norwich Free Academy will square off against Montville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fitch, they are taking a road trip to challenge Waterford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
