Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs vs. Garner Trojans

The Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Garner Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Raleigh is coming into the match hot, having won their last 14 games.

On Monday, everything came up roses for Southeast Raleigh against Willow Spring as the team secured a 45-15 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Garner played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 68-44 to Cleveland. The match was a 33-33 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Southeast Raleigh will need to focus on slowing down Sumayah Jones, one of several Garner players who made an impact when they last played. She went 7 for 14 en route to 14 points and six boards. Jones has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Erynn Jackson, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Southeast Raleigh's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.9 points. As for Garner, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Everything came up roses for Southeast Raleigh against Garner in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 70-22 win. In that contest, Southeast Raleigh amassed a halftime lead of 46-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
