Soccer Game Preview: Georgetown vs. Waccamaw

Georgetown hasn't had much luck against Waccamaw recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Georgetown is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They fell 4-2 to Marlboro County on Tuesday. Georgetown just can't catch a break and has now endured six defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Waccamaw was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of Pinewood Prep by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Waccamaw couldn't quite close it out.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Waccamaw, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.

Georgetown suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Waccamaw in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
