Basketball Recap: Kaden Ferguson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bolles over Bishop Snyder

Bolles was the 49-36 winner over Bishop Snyder when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bolles Bulldogs took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Snyder Cardinals on Tuesday. The contest was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Bolles' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Ferguson, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Mac Verlander, who posted 11 points.

Bolles has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Bishop Snyder, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

Bolles will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Episcopal School of Jacksonville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Bishop Snyder, they will challenge Ribault at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
