Basketball Recap: Northview Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Northview Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Anderson County Mavericks 79-61 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 67-49 loss the last time these two teams met.

Northview Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Anderson County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview Academy will host William Blount at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northview Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully William Blount likes a good challenge. As for Anderson County, they will challenge Cumberland Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
