Football Recap: Minford Falls to Rock Hill in First Game of Season

Minford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Rock Hill Redmen on Friday, falling 34-13. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Rock Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Murrell out in front who rushed for 97 yards and two scores on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallin Cox, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Coming up, Minford is taking a road trip to face off against Chesapeake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Hill, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Boyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
