Softball Recap: Johnson Central Comes Up Short

Johnson Central managed to slip by Perry County Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Commodores on Monday, falling 17-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered since March 24th.

Josie Dials led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayson Delong, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Johnson Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Perry County Central, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Johnson Central will take on Wolfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Perry County Central, they will square off against Letcher County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
