Baseball Game Preview: Hodgdon Hawks vs. Fort Fairfield Tigers

The Hodgdon Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Fairfield Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Hodgdon blew Wisdom out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Wisdom got their revenge. The Hawks fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 8-6.

Landon Botting made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Botting is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Tuttle, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Fort Fairfield came out on top against Southern Aroostook on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 15-run sixth inning. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 22-6 margin over the Warriors. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Hodgdon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fort Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
