Monsignor Pace extends home winning streak to seven

The Monsignor Pace Spartans waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Schoolhouse Prep 65-40. 65 seems to be a good number for Monsignor Pace as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Monsignor Pace was led to victory by Catherine Guillaume and Alessandra Bonilla. Guillaume scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks, while Bonilla went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. Guillaume has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Vikki Blye was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.

Monsignor Pace's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Monsignor Pace will head out on the road to square off against Atlantic Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schoolhouse Prep on the road again on Saturday and play against Nova at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th. Nova has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
