            Football Recap: Wheeling Wildcats vs. Hoffman Estates Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Wheeling had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it five. They took a  blow against the Hoffman Estates Hawks, falling  63-6. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  56-6.
As for Hoffman Estates, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.0 points this season.
 Hoffman Estates' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Austin Lezniak, who threw for 133 yards and three  touchdowns. The Hawks' leading receiver  Torey Baskin was  Lezniak's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.
 Looking ahead, Wheeling will venture away from home to  challenge Maine East  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Hoffman Estates, they will welcome New Trier  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
