For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fruitdale and Chickasaw meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Everything went the Fruitdale Pirates' way against the Chickasaw Chieftains as the Fruitdale Pirates made off with a 19-3 victory. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chieftains, too.
Jacey Frazier was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Skylar Loper, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Fruitdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .714. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.
Fruitdale's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Chickasaw, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
