Basketball Game Preview: Balboa Buccaneers vs. Galileo Lions

Balboa hasn't had much luck against Galileo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Balboa Buccaneers will take on the Galileo Lions in a tournament on Friday. Balboa has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Balboa is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since February 12th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wallenberg by a score of 54-51.

Meanwhile, Galileo came up short against Leland on Thursday and fell 44-37.

Balboa will have to keep a close watch on Darryn Wong and Nathan Lee, a pair of players who had a big impact on Galileo's prior game. Wong went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points, while Lee posted nine points.

Balboa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Galileo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Balboa might still be hurting after the 77-57 loss they got from Galileo in their previous meeting back in February. Can Balboa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
