Preview: Pecos Eagles vs. Andrews Mustangs
Pecos is 0-10 against the Mustangs since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pecos Eagles are on the road again and plays the Andrews Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Pecos came up short against the Panthers and fell 66-53.
Meanwhile, Andrews pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Greenwood on the road by a decisive 79-63 margin. Andrews just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Pecos dropped their record down to 3-18 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Andrews, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
Pecos was dealt a bruising 68-37 loss at the hands of the Mustangs when the teams last played back in January. Can Pecos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
