Softball Recap: Goreville Blackcats vs. Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats
Goreville entered their tilt with Carrier Mills-Stonefort on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 14-1 victory. Considering the Blackcats have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lydia Kwiatkowski made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
