Basketball Recap: Raytown South Comes Up Short

Raytown South lost against Chillicothe back in January of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raytown South Cardinals lost 58-36 to the Chillicothe Hornets. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liz Oliver went supernova for Chillicothe, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Oliver a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Staton, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Raytown South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chillicothe, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Maryville the next time they take the court. Chillicothe will head out to face Maryville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Raytown South will head out to face them on Wednesday.
