Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lyford walked away with it. They beat the Monte Alto Blue Devil on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 21-3. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Lyford has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Monte Alto, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

As of now, neither Lyford nor the Blue Devil have any future games scheduled.
