Volleyball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

McFarland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chavez Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

McFarland's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Chavez, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McFarland is set to square off against their familiar foe Shafter at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chavez will take on rival Delano at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
