Softball Recap: Stone Memorial's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a good run, but Stone Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak dating back to last season on Tuesday. They fell just short of the White County Warriors by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Kenzie Jackson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camdyn Holbrook, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stone Memorial fell to 5-1. As for White County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Stone Memorial Panthers face off against DeKalb County Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for White County, they will square off against Upperman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. White County is facing Upperman at the right time seeing as Upperman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
