Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Takes a Loss

Sunrise Mountain came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-8 to the Del Sol Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 21-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Sunrise Mountain dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Del Sol, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sunrise Mountain and Del Sol will both be playing Mater Academy East Las Vegas the next time they take the field. Sunrise Mountain will head out to face Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th, while Del Sol will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on March 27th.
