Softball Recap: Ripon's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Ripon extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-7 in the process. They blew past the Millennium Falcons 11-1. Considering the Indians have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Alana Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Naranjo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ripon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.

As for Millennium, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

On Millennium's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lanie Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Ripon and Millennium should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Indians will take on Pacheco at 12:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (419 vs. 1004). Meanwhile, Millennium (ranked 486th) will meet Gustine (ranked 999th) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
