Baseball Recap: Technology Comes Up Short

Technology is still winless after their match against Cornerstone Christian on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian Cougars. One positive for the Titans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Tyler Scullion put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Scullion was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Damian Padilla was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing Six bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Leo McDonell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Technology's record is now 0-4. As for Cornerstone Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Technology and Cornerstone Christian will both be playing Tomales the next time they take the field. Cornerstone Christian will head out to face Tomales at 4:00 p.m. on March 21st, while Technology will host them at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.
