The Mountain View Eagles will challenge the Elk Lake Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Mountain View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Susquehanna 13-2 on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Sabers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Josh Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jackson Gesford was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jagger, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while Elk Lake put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Blue Ridge. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Raiders. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.
The team relied heavily on Dawson Sherman, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Max Hollett was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base.
The victory made it two in a row for Elk Lake and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Mountain View, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mountain View has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Elk Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Mountain View's way against Elk Lake in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Mountain View made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
