Baseball Recap: Avon Grove Sets Scoring Season-High Against East

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Avon Grove). They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the East Vikings on Wednesday. With that victory, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Devin Rinker tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Avon Grove got a massive performance out of Myles Raymond, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Logan Nelson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Avon Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Avon Grove back to even at 4-4. As for East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
