Baseball Recap: Brocton Takes a Loss

If Brocton was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Pine Valley Central on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frewsburg Bears on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Brocton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Frewsburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brocton is set to challenge their familiar foe Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Frewsburg will square off against rival Pine Valley Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Bears' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Panthers have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
