Uniontown extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 13-9 in the process. They lost 16-6 to the Crest Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on Monday.

As for Crest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 17 matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Crest's part, Drake Weir made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Weir posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jensen Barker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Kole Walter was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
